Tap empowers Mollie customers to accept contactless payments with unparalleled ease, serving a wide range of businesses and entrepreneurs, from hair salons and cafés to market stalls and taxi companies. Tap is launching in the Netherlands first, and will then expand to other key Mollie markets including Belgium, Germany, and Austria in the coming weeks.
Tap’s designed for the reality of running a small business, with smart functions and effortless ease of use. It runs on Android, which means it integrates with Android apps that fit in with business owners' day-to-day work. And thanks to its sleek, compact design, the terminal fits easily into any pocket. Plus, unlike traditional terminals, there’s no need to turn or tilt the device; customers can simply hold their payment card or smartphone against Tap’s front for a smooth, seamless transaction.
Tap also enables entrepreneurs to seamlessly unify their online and in-person sales channels. By integrating physical payments into Mollie's powerful platform, business owners can manage all their transactions in one central dashboard. This simplifies their workflow, reduces the risk of errors, and provides clearer sales insights. The Mollie platform also offers a range of other financial services, including online payments, digital invoices, payment links, and business financing.
Business owners can choose the pricing model that best fits their needs. The terminal is available from just €45. For businesses with higher transaction volumes, a subscription of €20 per month reduces the transaction rate significantly. Alternatively, businesses can opt for a one-off purchase price of €95, with no monthly fees and a clear, competitive transaction rate per payment.
